Accessibility statement

Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services, transposed into French law by order no. 2023-859 of 6 September 2023, has imposed accessibility requirements on e-commerce services since 28 June 2025. Microenterprises providing services are exempt. Magazengo voluntarily applies these requirements as its design standard, regardless of whether that exemption applies to it.

The service is subject to a continuous accessibility improvement process and is currently partially compliant with the criteria of the French general accessibility improvement framework. No full third-party compliance audit has been carried out yet; its findings will be published here as soon as one has been conducted.

• — semantic page structure and a consistent heading hierarchy;
• — skip link to the main content on every page;
• — keyboard navigation and visible focus indicators;
• — colour contrast checked on the themes supplied by default;
• — form fields associated with explicit labels;
• — text alternatives required when uploading product images.

Magazengo supplies themes and components designed to be accessible. Each merchant remains responsible for the accessibility of their own store, in particular the content they publish, the text alternatives for their images, the contrast they choose and any custom code they add. It is up to them to check whether accessibility requirements apply to their own situation.

If you encounter an obstacle when accessing content or a feature, write to contact@magazengo.com, specifying the page concerned and the difficulty encountered. You will receive a reply within a reasonable time, and an alternative solution will be offered where a fix takes time.

If a report does not receive a satisfactory response, you may refer the matter to the Défenseur des droits, the independent French authority responsible for discrimination and access to services, online at defenseurdesdroits.fr, by postage-free mail to Défenseur des droits, Libre réponse 71120, 75342 Paris Cedex 07, or by contacting the Défenseur des droits representative for your département.
